Eddy Kenzo Finally Back Home
Ugandans who have been stranded in West African Countries due to COVID19 pandemic have also arrived safely back in the country.
A total of 56 Ugandans and legal residents were repatriated from countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Togo, Benin, Equatorial Guinea Cameroon, Republic of Guinea and Gambia.
Among the notable figures on this flight which landed at Entebbe Airport at exactly 1.30 pm on Saturday was Ediriisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo who had gone to perform in Ivory coast.
During the lockdown, on various occasions, Kenzo used his social media platforms to call upon the government of Uganda to allow them return back to home because life was hard in a foreign land.
He said he was even ready to be quarantined in a prison.
The repatriation exercise is still underway under the supervision of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with Ugandan Embassies.
