Women Football: Mutesa I Sees Effective Demotion after Failure to Honour Fixtures

FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has demoted FUFA Women Super League side Mutesa I Royal University with immediate effect.
The decision and new development comes after Muteesa I Royal University’s failure to honor three League matches.
The statement released by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations States that;
“On several Occasions, It was reported in the referee’s match reports that Muteesa
Royal I University Women FC failed to turn up for the following matches;
Muteesa I Royal University WFC V SHE – Corporate FC on 8th December 2019, Kampala Queens FC Vs Muteesa I Royal University WFC on 15th December 2019 and Olila WFC Vs Muteesa I Royal University WFC on 18th February 2020.”

The Competitions Disciplinary panel’s
Decision goes like:
“The CDP accordingly orders that;
1. Muteesa I Royal University Women FC be demoted in accordance with Article 24 (11) of the FUFA Competition rules.
2. The table standings be updated in accordance with Article 24 of the Rules.
The Buganda Kingdom owned women team Mutesa I Royal University will now play from the Third division League with immediate effect.
This means that every club in Fufa Women Super League that played and collected points off Mutesa I Royal University in first round will be deducted from the already accumulated ones.
The affected clubs for this matter are She Corporates, Lady Doves, Kampala Queens, Olila High School, and Kawempe Muslim Ladies Football team.
