Police FC Captures Midfielder Sembuya
2006 Uganda Premier League winners Police Football Club have unveiled midfielder Arnold Sembuya as their seventh recruitment for the summer transfer window.
Sembuya joins Police from Armyside Uganda People’s Defense Force Football Club (UPDF FC) and has inked down a three-year contract.
Last season, the 22-year old midfielder helped UPDF FC to gain direct promotion to the top flight having topped the Rwenzori group before the league was prematurely ended because of the Coronavirus.
“I feel good joining Police FC because it’s one of the best teams in Uganda.I promise to work hard for the team to achive the best,” Sembuya said via the club’s social media platforms.
He added, “It is matter of time as we wait for the league to resume, they will see good results.”
Sembuya becomes the latest acquisition by the club, joining Eric Ssenjobe, Tonny Mawejje, Muwadda Mawejje, Tom Ikara and Hassan Mahmood.
Police has as well renewed contracts with players including Johnson Odong, Yusuf Ssozi, Emmanuel Kiryowa, Bashir Kabuye, Joseph Sentume, Musa Matovu and Denis Rukundo.
