Baboon Kills 11 Months Old Baby in Murchison Falls Park

An 11-month old baby was over the weekend killed by a marauding baboon from Northern bank of Murchison Falls National Park.

The deceased identified as Enyel Isaiah Ibrahim was a son of one of the park rangers.

The rangers according to authorities, left the children at their questers as they headed for their morning parade.

One baboon reportedly entered the camp and attacked the child, killing him instantly. The rangers later responded and killed the baboon.

Jimmy Patrick Okema, the Aswa regional Police spokesman says the body of the deceased was taken to Anaka Hospital for a Post-mortem and was later handed over to the family.
