UPL: Golola Lauds His Side’s Performance Against Police Fc
Vipers SC’s head coach Edward Golola has praised the performance of his boys after their convincing 3-1 win against Abdallah Mubiru’s Police FC.
Paul Willa, Halid Lwaliwa and Abdul Karim Watambala scored for the Kitende based club to guide them to the victory on Wednesday evening.
“The boys showed character, fighting spirit and maturity to come from a goal down and win the game with a good margin,” Golola said before adding.
“It is always important to show the never die character and I’m happy that they remained composed even after going down and that helped us,” he added.
According to him, Police staged a strong resistance against them but they were able to overcome it and move away with maximum points.
“They are a good team that plays good football, but overall we handled them well despite them taking the lead. Police FC had a couple of chances but we remained calm and composed,” he noted.
Vipers will take on Express FC in their next league game at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Saturday October 12th as they aim at continuing with their unbeaten run in the league.
“I don’t expect to make a lot of changes to the team because changing a lot means they will lose coordination,” he further noted.
Vipers is now fourth on the table with 14 points from six games played, they won four times and drew twice.
