Omoro Man on the Run After Alleged Murder of Wife and Daughter

A 48-year-old man in Omoro district is on the run after he allegedly killed his wife and daughter.

Patrick Ocaka, a resident of Oluba village, Ongako Sub –County in Omoro district reportedly murdered his wife Harriet Akello in her 30s and his 3-year-old daughter only identified as Lakica on the evening of Monday before he disappeared from home.

Richard Otika, the LC5 Councillor of Ongako Sub –County in Omoro district told our reporter that the bodies of the deceased were found on Tuesday morning inside their house in Oluba village by neighbours, who alerted the police.

Otika revealed that the heads of the deceased were badly injured and that a pestle with blood stains was found besides their bodies.

Jimmy Patrick Okema, Aswa regional police spokesman confirmed this incident saying the bodies of the deceased have been taken to Gulu Regional Referral Hospital Morgue pending post –mortem.

Okema added that the case has been registered under Omoro CRB 169/2020.
