Rwandan National Killed in Kisoro Night Club

Police in Kisoro district are hunting for a Club attendant for allegedly killing his workmate at Club D Zone in Kisoro town.

The deceased is 23-year-old Ivan Manzi, a Rwandan national and resident of Chahi in Central Division, Kisoro municipality.

Manzi was reportedly hit on the head with a hammer by his workmate Edson Kazungu, a resident of the same area, after the two developed a quarrel while at work.

Elly Maate the Kigezi region Police Spokesperson says after being hit with the hammer, Manzi became unconscious and was rushed to Kisoro Hospital from where he passed on Wednesday.

Yesterday, a murder case was reported to Kisoro police, by the Club manager Emmanuel Rukundo.

Maate says the body was undergoing post-mortem at Kisoro hospital mortuary while police launched a manhunt for  Kazungu.

On 20th March this year, President Museveni put a ban on night clubs, bars among other places of gathering as a way to contain the spread of Covid 19 in Uganda.
