ASFAs 2019: Jidenna Recognized with the ‘Icon Award’ at the Event

American based Nigerian singer Jidenna has been recognized at this year’s Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) held Friday 13 at Serena Hotel Kampala Hotel.

Jidenna was awarded with an Icon Award during the the ‘Ciroc ASFAs’ night.

According to the organizers of the event, Jidenna was the right person for the award and no one could be matched with him.

The award was presented in by Alvin Mbugua, the Managing Director UBL who cited that Uganda is the best Country he has ever been to, one with welcoming people.

While receiving the award, Jidenna said that ASFAs is one of the most elegant and we’ll organized fashion shows he has ever been to.

“This awards show was more organized than most of the many events I have ever been to.”

He added that, “I have toured the world, but one thing I have realized is that Uganda is the best Country you will ever find in the World.”

The singer later on performed his hit singles including 85 to Africa, Classic Man and ‘particular,’ featuring Major Lazer and DJ Maphorisa among other songs.

Other notable winners at the event include singer Fik Fameica who scooped the Male Stylish of the year, Spice Diana voted the Most Female Stylish artist of the year, Best Music Video; Sunday by Slick Stuart and Roja and Fashion Media excellence Awards won by Gloria Aguma.
