Golola Unfazed Despite KCCA FC Loss
Despite suffering their first league defeat this against KCCA FC, Vipers head coach Edward Golola is optimistic that his charges will bounce back to the winning ways very soon.
The Venoms lost 1-0 against the Kasasiro Boys on Saturday November 16th at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.
“I thank the players for the effort despite the loss. I think we had a sloppy start and that cost us. We improved in the second half but lacked the cutting edge in the final third,” Golola said before adding.
“We remain strong and focused. What we need to do is bounce back soon. We shall go back and try to rectify the mistakes we committed today,” he added.
Vipers played this game without four of their first team players including Fahad Bayo and Halid Lwaliwa who were on international duty while youngsters Bobosi Byaruhanga and Abdul Karim Watambala are in their Senior Six exams.
“They are very important players in our squad and it is true we missed them but we shall not use it as an excuse. We have a good squad with good players that are capable of playing in their absence.”
The Venoms remained on the top of the table with 33 points from 14 games, they are looking forward at winning the Uganda Premier League this season their last time to win it being the 2017/2018 season.
