Masaza Cup: Buddu Signs 2019 Winning Captain Ssekiganda
2016 Masaza Cup Champions Buddu Ssaza team has embarked on player recruitment in preparation to this year’s Championship.
Buddu has secured the signature of last year’s winning Captain Ronald Ssekiganda, a holding midfielder who guided Bulemeezi to triumph.
Sekiganda was instrumental as Simon Peter Mugerwa’s side won their second Championship in the history of the tournament, the first coming in 2012.
Ssekiganda’s heroics, agility and leadership saw him clinch the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and walk away with a brand new motorbike accompanied with prize money in last year’s championship.
Buddu adds Ssekiganda onto the club roaster after earlier securing services of a defender-cum-holding midfielder Edward “Ramo” Satro.
Satro won the championship with Gomba in 2017 and Ssingo in 2018 featuring as the team captain in both squads.
Strikers Gerrard “Mwenda” Ogwett and Jibreal Nsimbe are other players on Buddu’s radar.
Last season, Buddu was eliminated on the semi final as their adventure was brought to an end by Busiro.
