2 Charged for Robbing Police Gun

High Court Judge Steven Mubiru has charged two men with aggravated robbery.

The two are said to have hit a police officer on the head with a stone and later stole his gun.

Kaggwa John and Kasasa Nsubuga on being read the charges, pleaded not guilty.

Prosecution alleges that on 22nd December 2017 at Masaka road Police post at Busega Roundabout in Kampala district, these robbed an AK 47-gun serial number 21174325427 from Corporal Namara Alex.

That after robbing this gun, the two went ahead and fired bullets to scare away other Policemen at the station as they vanished with the gun.

The judge remanded the duo to Luzira Prison until 7th January 2019 when they will be appearing for hearing of the case.
