Uganda Cranes Forward Ikpeazu Joins Wycombe Wanderers

Uganda Cranes striker Karl Anthony Uchechukwu Mubiru Ikpeazu has completed his move to English championship club Wycombe Wanderers.

Mubiru joins Wycombe Wanderers on a permanent deal following a successful two-year tenure at Scottish Premier League side Hearts.

The 25-year old robust forward who made 55 appearances with Hearts and scored ten goals will now feature for the Championship club until 2022/2023 season.

Ikpeazu Mubiru, born to a Nigerian father and a Ugandan mother, becomes the first signing for Wycombe Wanderers ahead of to the 2020/21 season kick-off.

He has previously played at Reading (Academy), Watford, Crewe Alexandra, Doncaster Rovers, Port Vale, Blackpool, Cambridge United and lately Heart of Midlothian.

Before the lockdown was instituted following the Coronavirus outbreak, he was part of the Uganda Cranes provisional squad that was summoned for the AFCON Qualifier double header tie against South Sudan.
