Mp Luttamaguzi Surrenders 2Million Of His Salary to Fight Covid19

Nakaseke South lawmaker Hon Luttamaguzi Semakula has officially written to the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga authorizing her to deduct 2 million shillings from his monthly salary beginning with the month of April to fight COVID 19 pandemic.

“I write to authorize your office to make a deduction of two million shillings (2,000,000) from my monthly salary to support the victims of the above mentioned pandemic (COVID 19) and support the Ministry of Health to greatly curtail the spread of the virus,” said Lutamaguzi in a letter from Kadaga.

He added, “the deduction should be made starting with the month of April 2020 until the deadline given by Government.”

Lutamaguzi called on Kadaga to persuade other Members of Parliament to run for the same cause.

“I would also request you to make an appeal to leaders and my Honorable colleagues to support this national cause in the same way that I have done.”
