Kyomukama Bibiana, a pregnant mother from Mugyera, Bufundi Sub County in Rubanda District on Saturday told our reporter that crossing the lake for antenatal services has become difficult after government halted movement of public transport.

“To cross the lake I need to pay Shs20, 000 since I will be travelling alone in the boat which is so expensive. Last month, I was scheduled to meet a doctor at Rugarama hospital in Kabale town on 31st of March, but I missed because I had no money to hire the boat” Kyomugabe said.

She thanked Kigezi Children Charity Limited for donating a boat to ferry pregnant mothers for free, in the times of coronavirus.
