Moses Mwase Takes Charge of Uganda Swimming Federation
Moses Mwase is officially confirmed as the new president of the Uganda Swimming Federation.
Mwase replaces Dr Donald Rukare who resigned from the position, following his appointment by the State minister for Sports Hamsson Obua as the new National Council of Sports Chairperson.
Mwase who doubles as the Director privatisation Unit in the ministry of finance has been acting as the Federation General Secretary.
An official statement released by the Federation on Tuesday confirmed the new development.
“During its Extraordinary Meeting held on Monday 16 March 2020 at the USF Offices, the USF Executive unanimously appointed Mr. Moses B. MWASE to the vacant position of USF President effective immediately.”
Albert Wasswa was also confirmed as the new General Secretary, filling the void left by Mwase and Max Kanyerezi who also holds the position of Competitions Secretary takes Wasswa’s spot as the new Assistant Secretary General.
The Executive committee shall present the new President and the other changes made to the next Assembly sitting on Saturday 21st March at the Uganda Swimming Federation offices
