Experienced Oloya Appointed as Maroons Goalkeeping Coach

Hours after his appointment as Maroons Football Club head coach, Charles Lukula Ayiekho brought experienced Moses Oloya into his backroom staff.

Oloya joins the relegation threatened side as the goalkeepers’ coach on a short term deal running up to the climax of the 2019-2020 season.

He bounces back into coaching since partying ways with Vipers SC as he now replaces departed Rogers Tezigwa.

Oloya has previously worked with several clubs including Onduparaka, KCCA FC, Water FC, the Saints, Sports Club Victoria University and Vipers Sports Club.

He also had brief stints with Somalia and South Sudan national teams, serving in the same capacity.

Former Tooro United’s interim coach Eric Ndifuna will serve as his immediate assistant while Ex- Uganda Cranes left back Abubakar Tabula will be the new club trainer.

The new technical team will have the horrendous task of reviving the club’s glory and saving them from relegation.

Maroons is currently battling in the 14th position with 24 points from 25 matches.

Ayiekho and his new backroom staff will take charge of their first task this Friday as Maroons visit Kyetume at the Mighty Arena in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16.
