UPL: Crunch Clash as BUL Visit Vipers

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League will resume on Tuesday after the second international break with quite a number of matches but the mouthwatering affair will be between Vipers and BUL FC.

It will be a top of the table affair at St Mary’s stadium Kitende in what promises to be an exciting encounter.

BUL under Peter Onen have showed a lot of stability and growth, and many would believe their impressive run this season.

They have won six of their eight outings, including a 3-0 defeat over holders KCCA FC at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

Meanwhile, Vipers have been in fine form since the start of this season with five wins and two draws in the seven league games played so far.

This will be the 17th time both teams are meeting, the Venoms are ahead having won nine times, drawn on five occasions and lost just two, scoring 18 goals against 8 in the previous 16 league encounters between the two clubs.

BUL has only managed one win out of the previous eight visits at Vipers hence will be looking for their second ever victory in the Venoms territory.

BUL are coming into this fixture in bouyant moods as they lead the 16-team log with 19 points two ahead of Vipers who lie in second position, they defeated Tooro United 2-1 away in their last fixture while the Venoms saw off Express in a 3-0 victory.

A win for Vipers will see them climb on the top of the table with 20 points while a win for BUL FC will see them maintain their top of the table spot with 22 points.
