Saidi Kyeyune’s Strike Tears the Net out in Kyetume, URA Draw
Kyetume 1-1 URA FC
Saidi Kyeyune’s thunderbolt destroyed the goal net as URA FC and Kyetume FC played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday evening at the Mighty Arena in Jinja.
Kyeyune gathered the ball from Skipper Shafik Kagimu and stretched the muscle as his net buster from outside the box went past goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa 73 minutes into the game.
The strike necessitated a two-minute break as the officials tried to sew the net back to the woodwork.
Veteran forward Robert Ssentongo had put Kyetume in an early lead after converting a penalty kick that resulted from Paul Patrick Mbowa handball in the penalty area.
Kyetume is now at 23 points in the 13 position after 21 games while URA FC sits in the 4th position.
Next for URA FC is a Uganda Cup game against Nyamityobora before league games against Vipers and Express FC while Kyetume will host Kigezi Home boys in the Uganda Cup ahead of a home league game with Mbarara City FC.
