Ragga Dee Takes NRM Flag for Kampala Lord Mayor Race

Veteran musician Daniel Kazibwe aka Ragga Dee defeated his rival Ssebaana Kizito the cousin for former Kampala Mayor John Ssebaana Kizito in the NRM party primary elections.

In the results announced by the NRM presiding officer for Kampala Kato Robert, Kazibwe polled 77.1% while his rival Ssebaana managed 22.1%

“I therefore declare Kazibwe Daniel who polled the highest number of votes 151928 representing 77.1% as the NRM Flag bearer for Kampala District Lord Mayor 2020.” Declared Kato

Kazibwe got 9634 votes in Makindye Division, 4153 in Kawempe, 8113 in Rubaga, 4072 in Nakawa and 25956 in Kampala Central.

Kizito polled 1914 votes in Makindye Division, 3427 in Kawempe, 3327 in Nakawa, 2746 in Rubaga and 4089 in Kampala Central which raised his total to 15503 votes.

Ragga Dee, who is contesting for the second time for the same seat will now be facing the incumbent Erias Lukwago, fellow musician Joseph Mayanja aka Chameleon, Latif Ssebagala, All Hajji Nasser Ntege Ssebagala , Nabilah Nagayi Ssempala and others
