Businessman donates 20 vehicles to canvas votes for Museveni

Yusuf Musisi Sserunkuuma, a Kampala businessman has donated 20 vehicles to the ruling National Resistance Movement to help canvas votes for President Museveni and party flagbearers in the forthcoming 2021 election.

According to Sserunkuuma’s crony, Hajji Moses Male the vehicles will be under the office of the party national vice-chairperson Hajji Moses Kigongo.

“Being a party member, the businessman thought it wise to contribute something to President Museveni’s forthcoming victory and the party at large. The vehicles will be moving around the country to look for the President’s votes and for the NRM flagbearers,”Male said.

“The vehicles might not be enough but at least he has contributed something to start with during the mobilization of votes for our party.”

Sserunkuuma is the man behind Moon TV in Makindye and Buloba Technical and Vocation Institute along Mityana road.

Early this year, the NRM leadership in Southern Africa said they would send a 400 man team to campaign for President Museveni as he seeks for another term.

“It was resolved that we send a 400 man team and 20 vehicles to canvas for President Museveni’s votes. These will traverse various parts of the country mobilizing support for the NRM presidential candidate,” Isma Luzige, the NRM Southern Africa Chapter chairman said in March.

The NRM Southern Africa Chapter is in charge of South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Zimbabwe and Zambia and members in November endorsed Museveni as the party sole candidate for the 2021 elections.
