Boban Zirintusa Strike Secures Point for Mtibwa Sugar

Ugandan attacking midfielder Boban Zirintusa continued his fine form in front of goal by scoring a goal, picking from where he stopped last 2019/2020 season in Tanzania.

Zirintusa opened his goal account as Mtibwa Sugar held Simba SC 1-1 in the Vodacom Premier League on Saturday at the Jamhuri stadium, Morogoro.

Mtibwa’s old boy Muzamir Yassin put the defending Champions in the lead on the 45th minute mark but the Ugandan ambassador put matters on level with just a minute from recess.

Last season the former Busoga United forward Ziruntusa scored five goals for Mtibwa Sugar from the 11 games played.

The draw was the second for Mtibwa Sugar who after match-day two, taking their point tally to two. They played to a goalless draw with Ruvu Shooting in the season opener last weekend.

The defending Champions Simba SC however, are two points ahead of Mtibwa Sugar following their 2-1 win against debutants Ihefu on day one.

Mtibwa Sugar will next play away to Ihefu on Friday at Sokoine Mbeya stadium while Simba SC hosts Biashara United next Sunday as both return to League action.
