Beach Soccer Executive Committee Sets Dates For 2020/21 Season Kick Off

Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) Executive committee has confirmed tentative dates for the 2020/2021 season kick-off.

The meeting was held on Thursday 13th August at the FUFA Complex, Mengo from where the committee agreed on 21st November as the kick off date for the 2020/2021 campaign.

The UBSA Executive Committee also confirmed Saturday 26th September as the date for this year’s Beach Soccer Ordinary General Assembly which will be held in Kampala.

The number of clubs to participate in the Elite Beach Soccer League were also approved with a maximum of twelve and a minimum of five clubs.

Also, the UBSA Women Beach Soccer League clubs will have a minimum of five and maximum of eight clubs in the 2020/2021 season.

The meeting was chaired by Deo Mutabazi who was recently elected as the 1st vice president of African Beach Soccer Union.

FUFA Football Development Director Ali Mwebe who was also appointed as the vice chairman of the ABSU technical and development committee.

Kimbugwe Hilary, Joel Kiwalabye Katerega, Tumwesigye Anthony, Sarah Birungi and Mukiibi Semwogerere Jamil were the other members that attended the meeting.
