UPL: Okello’s Hat-Trick Restores Vipers’ Five Points Lead

 Vipers Sports Club restored their five points lead at the summit of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after a 3-2 win against BUL FC on Sunday.

Tito Okello’s hat-trick at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru was his first this season and moved his tally to five goals in his previous two games against BUL in Jinja.

Dennis Okot brought down the dread-locked forward in the 19th minute who did no mistake to fire the visitors into the lead.

In the 43rd minute, Okello scored his second goal after receiving a long ball from goal keeper Fabien Mutombora.

In the second half, BUL FC recovered from two goals when Fredson Gwoto and Robert Mukogotya scored midway through the restart.

It was in  the 77th minute that Okello who was later named man of the match brought back Vipers SC in the lead as they bagged maximum away points.

This was Fred Kajoba’s second victory out of three played  since his appointment.

The Venoms are now on 49 points from 21 games, five points adrift of the reigning champions KCCA with 9 games to climax the season.
