Africell is currently the third largest telecommunication company in Uganda.

Having established its self in Uganda in 2014, the company has grown to over 3,000,000 subscribers on the 2G, 3G and 4G network for both voice and data bundles

Compared to the top two, MTN and Airtel Uganda, Africell is standing out consistently by offering more value to customers in both the voice and data segment.

Telecoms in the Uganda normally offer daily bundles whose validity is 24 hours from loading.

Within the daily segment, by comparison, for Shs 500, Africell gives 25 minutes and 75 minutes for Shs1000. On MTN, one will get 6 minutes for Shs500, 20 minutes for Shs1000, while Airtel offers 10 minutes for Shs500 and 30minutes for Shs1000.

On the side of weekly bundles whose validity is up to seven days, Africell offers 350 minutes for 5000, Airtel offers 225 minutes for 6000 while MTN has no weekly bundle for voice.

Telecoms also offer combo packages which allow subscribers to have multiple functions at low rates.

For example, combo packages/bundles allow a customer to make calls, send sms and have some data as well.

In this segment for voice combo, Africell offers for Shs 500, 20minutes (onnet) 2 minutes (offnet).
