Bengo In Search For Third Consecutive Win As Wakiso Giants Head Coach
Wakiso Giants interim head coach Steven Bengo will be looking for nothing else other than a win as he is looking for his third consecutive win in charge of the Purple Sharks.
The newly promoted StarTimes Uganda Premier League new comers will be desperate to end the first round on a winning note when they visit Maroons at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru on Saturday November 16th.
Wakiso Giants head into the game on the back of two back to back wins and a third may give them the best ending to the half season.
“The boys are focused and want to end the first round on a high which gives us coaches optimism,” Bengo said ahead of the game before adding.
“They have had a good season so far and they are a difficult opponent. But we go into the game confident after two wins on the bounce and we shall do all to pick all points,” he added.
Wakiso Giants will be without Yasin Mugume, Ayub Kisaliita and Tom Masiko who are still nursing injuries. Yasin Mugabi also remains a doubt after missing the game against Kyetume through injury while Hassan Wasswa Dazo is sidelined with malaria.
This will be the first meeting between the two sides ever, a win for the Sharks will see Wakiso Giants win three games on the trot for the first time this season.
They enter this game seated sixth on the table with 19 points from 14 games played while Maroons are eighth with 18 points from 12 games.
