Soroti Thunders Unveil First Signing Mwazinga

FUFA Regional League outfit Soroti Thunders Football Club has officially unveiled striker Abdallah Mwazinga Yiga.

Mwazinga joins the North Eastern region club on a three-year contract, becoming their first official recruit ahead of 2020/2021 season.

The 17-year old promising center forward joins Soroti Thunders from Buganda regional club Kiwanga United Football club.

The club confirmed the development via it’s official Twitter handle.

“Mwazinga Abdallah Yiga has penned down a 3-year contract with @FcSorotiThunder.The centre forward who featured for kiwanga utd last season becomes our first signing,” read part of the statement.

He had previously played at Proway FC and Lweza based Spartan Football Club. At his new club, the striker will don shirt number 17.

Christened as “The Brave”, Soroti Thunders will next season be coached by Geoffrey Akena, playing their home games at Soroti Sports playground.
