Joseph Janjali Signs for Soltilo Bright Stars
Diminitive center forward Janjali Joseph has signed a permanent deal with Uganda Premier League outfit Soltilo Bright Stars Football Club.
Janjali has signed a two-year contract with the Stars where he spent the whole 2019/2020 UPL season on loan from league holders Vipers Sports Club.
Last season, Janjali was Soltilo Bright Stars’ top scorer with six goals and helped the club retain it’s top flight status after the league was abruptly ended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
He also played for Buddu and Gomba in the prestigious Masaza Cup tournament before elevating to the top-flight league in January 2018 at Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF FC).
Janjali joined Vipers SC from UPDF FC at the start of the 2018/19 season but failed to claim a starting role at Kitende hence being loaned out to Bright Stars.
He joins Jamir Nvule Kisitu (Kitara FC), Samson Mutyaba (Kyetume), Samuel Sekamatte Kayongo (formerly at Red Arrows in Zambia), Ibrahim Kibumba (SC Villa), Saddam Masereka (BUL FC), Benson Wagima (Busoga United) as the other signings made.
The Stars have also lured youngsters Warren Buule, Emmanuel Loki, Marvin Ssemayange and Gabriel Elagu to the senior team ahead of next season.
Players including Derrick Ngoobi and Andrew Kaggwa and midfielder Henry Kiwanuka have already signed contract extensions at the clubwhile Jamil Kaliisa departed for Vipers SC.
