I regret supporting Bobi Wine, I am now meeting ministers and the president- Singer Aganaga
National Unity Platform (NUP) member, Singer Mukibi Sadat alias Khalifah Aganaga has said he regrets the time he spent supporting fellow singer Bobi Wine and his party.
The singer who has been lambasting the party since being rejected as a flag-bearer candidate for Rubaga South MP seat, claims he has not benefited from supporting Bobi except being abused by NUP members.
Aganaga now claims he is independent and willing to work with everyone whose aim is to contribute to the well being of the people of the country and himself.
“I am not independent, if someone from DP comes and wants a song, I will sing. If those in NRM come, I will also sing for them. Right now I have a chance to do a remix with Museveni whom I have grown up admiring,” he added.
Aganaga said he was disappointed by people power and NUP.
“I went to people power and I was disappointed, I supported Bobi Wine but the people around him have made it hard. Why should they preach freedom then come and abuse me on my page? They are threatening my life; they claim they will hit me with bottles. Well, I will leave music maybe for Bobi and his family,” he claimed.
Aganaga claims he has is now in a better life, meeting ministers and the president who are closer to the power, hence a better opportunity.
“The President will not be here for long, the ministers will not be in power for long, it is therefore important that I get closer to them to obtain some knowledge and experience such that it is easier when they leave, I will be nearer to the queue,” he claimed.
He said he is more interested in bettering his life, just like anyone else in NUP.
“I want to hustle like a young man, buy a beach, build a nice house, get nice cars. I am an ambitious young man. That is when I will be able to see Museveni in a bad light if I fail to make something out of my life. I won’t wait for Bobi to win then I start ambition,” he said.
“I went to the NUP to seek a card, but they kept tossing me around. That is absurd, and now when my services are sought by someone else, they are bitter. I won’t be moving backward,” he added.
