Gabriel Matata Signs For Onduparaka

Arua based Onduparaka Football Club has completed the signing of 19-year old center forward Gabriel Matata from Mvara Boys.

The youthful talisman who graduated from the club’s academy side Ondunyiri in 2018, joins the Caterpillars on a one-year deal.

While featuring for the Regional League side (Mvara Boys), he was the team’s overall top scorer in 2019/2020 season with 14 goals in ten games and guided the club to Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32.

Born in 2001 at Arua Regional refferal Hospital, Matata is regarded as a promising rising star for the club known for his finishing, dribbling and speed.

He also possesses different techniques like sharp vision, eye for goal and an admirable ballplaying ability thus posing as a great addition for the caterpillar side on the rebuild.

Matata becomes Onduparaka’s seventh signing of this transfer window joining fellow new faces in Bony Musema, Jerry Jakisa, Augustine Akoch, Jasper Okello, Nelson Opio and Kennedy Atibuni.
