Veteran Journalist Francis Mutazindwa Is Dead
The media fraternity in the country is mourning the passing of senior radio journalist Francis Mutazindwa.
Mutazindwa passed away Sunday evening at Kampala Hospital where he was admitted a few days ago.
His wife Betty Komujuni says he succumbed to severe pneumonia.
At the time of his death, he was the Manager of Revival Radio, which is owned by the Diocese of Ankole
Mutazindwa, known by his peers as Chief, rose through the ranks to serve as General Manager at Radio West in Mbarara.
He previously worked as news anchor at the station.
He had also worked at Red Pepper Publications as Managing Editor.
He will be remembered for his vigour and energy in the newsroom and for breathing life into the media houses he was honoured to serve in.
Several of his friends last night took to social media to mourn the deceased.

Minister Frank Tumwebaze said he was saddened by the passing of Mutazindwa whom he termed as an accomplished journalism professional.
“I met him at Radio West in our early days of student political activism while at (MUST). He was a calm and an amiable gentleman at peace with everyone. May he RIP.”
