Uganda Cranes Captain Denis Onyango Leads Team-mates In Demand Of USD 1m Presidential Pledge

Sports in Uganda is looked at un essential in the country to the fact that even the president can no longer talk about it in his recent Covid-19 addresses.

The president of the republic of Uganda has given tokens to a number of artistes who include; Full Figure, Catherine Kusasira, Bucha-man, Big-Eye, DJ Michael, Eddy Kenzo, Salvado, Bebe-Cool among others.

The Uganda Cranes players that took part in the recent AFCON that took place in Egypt were promised some money by the president after reaching the knock-out phase last year.

Uganda Cranes captain Denis Masinde Onyango has joined Hassan Wasswa Mawanda, Farouk Miya, Moses Waiswa, William Kizito Luwagga and Salim Jamal to remind the president.

“As a captain, my team mates, some already retired now have been on my neck humbling and requesting, others in a demanding tone because of the desperate times calling me to remind you of the promise” Denis Masinde Onyango.

Uganda reached the round of 16 stage and it was knocked-out by Senegal after losing 1-0.
