Striker Semugabi Signs Contract Extension at Mbarara City
Mbarara City forward Jude Semugabi has signed a three year contract extension with Uganda Premier League side Mbarara City Football Club.
The extension at the Kakyeka based side comes at a time when his contract extension was due June next year.
Semugabi joined Mbarara City at the beginning of the 2018/2019 season from FUFA Big League side Kiboga Young Football Club. He was instrumental in Kiboga’s promotion to the second division scoring 20 goals in the process.
Semugabi also played an integral part during Ssingo’s 2018 Airtel Masaza Cup triumph, emerging as the overall top scorer with 8 goals under coach Shafik Bisaso.
In his second season in the top flight, the towering striker scored Seven goals for the Ankole Lions with four assists helping the club to finish 7th with 36 points from 25 matches.
The lanky forward has also previously featured for Uganda Martyrs in the Pepsi University Football League.
