Video: Ugandan Composes Song Applauding Security Forces For Fighting Covid19
A Uganda young artist who goes by the names Danfordio da Patriot has come up with a song to appreciate security forces for the roles they have played in fighting COVID-19 pandemic in Uganda.
The “UPDF Corona song” is also parked with sensitization messages on how people can prevent the spread of COVID-19 such as regular hand washing among other ways.
“We applaud UPDF for fighting Corona, for availing its doctors to treat COVID-19 patients. In addition, we applaud it (UPDF) for safeguarding Ugandans and their property,” the song goes.
UPDF medical doctors were part of the frontline health workers who treated and discharged all the 23 COVID-19 patients who were admitted at Mulago National specialized hospital.
Furthermore, the singer appreciates the army for assisting Police in enforcing presidential directives to combat the widespread of COVID-19 in Uganda.
Other activities that the security forces have been involved in during this COVID-19 crisis include distribution of relief food to vulnerable people affected by measures put in place by Government to combat the spread of Coronavirus in Uganda.
The singer appeals to Ugandans to applaud the work done by security forces during this COVID-19 crisis.
“I appeal to Ugandans to appreciate security forces; UPDF, Uganda Police, Uganda Prisons Services and LDUs,” read some of the lyrics of the song.
He also doesn’t leave out Ministry of Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, Ministry of Health, Office of the Prime Minister, Parliament and President Museveni for their endeavours to fight COVID-19.
Currently, Uganda has 121 COVID-19 confirmed cases with 55 recoveries and no fatalities.
