Simon Ddungu the New Tactician at Mawogola Ssaza

With the 2020 Masaza cup tournament close to kick off, Mawogola Ssaza Team through its county chief Ssalongo, Muhammad Sserwadda has named a strong technical and Management team.

Ssalongo Sserwadda has appointed experienced Coach Simon Ddungu as the team’s new tactician.

In 2017, Ddungu guided Gomba to their fourth Masaza Cup glory. He also previously coached Buddu, Mawokota, Buwekula and Buganda region side, Busiro United.

“I am very happy to be named as the head coach of Mawogola for this year’s Masaza Cup tournament. I thank Mawogola county chief, team manager and the entire committee for the appointment,” Ddungu expressed his happiness upon confirmation.

He will work alongside Jamada Magaasi and Wilson Kacuucu as the first and second assistant coaches respectively.

Also, the sieving Committee has named a strong management team that has 16 tried and tested memebers.

Jude Kasekende has been appointed as the committee Chairman and Kusasira Noar will be his deputy in charge of administration.

Jumba Dalausi is the new Vice Chairman technical while Moses Mulindwa has been named the General Secretary with Colleb Tinyefuza taking the treasury role.

Frank Kavuma Douglas is the team’s publicity secretary with Andrew Akanyijuka and Edison Kachumitana as the new team’s Security officer and Team manager respectively.

Sports journalist Mbuga Swaibu has been appointed as the team’s Public Relations Officer and head of communications. Wilson is the kits manager.

Mawogola has never won the Masaza Cup tournament since it’s interception in 2004, adding more stakes to this year’s edition.
