Video: COVID-19: Two Ugandan Cops Caught Picking Money from Truck Drivers at Malaba Border Post
Two Ugandan cops have been arrested for reportedly soliciting bribes from truck drivers and exposing themselves to COVID-19 infections at Malaba border post, Chimp Corps report.

ChimpReports understands the officers are denying picking money but insist they were “checking whether trucks were carrying passengers as it has been the habbit of drivers.”
The development comes at a time Uganda is taking firmer steps to manage the movement of truck drivers some of whom have tested positive for COVID-19 in recent days.
Some Kenyan and Tanzanian truck drivers have gone through Ugandan borders only for their tests to be confirmed positive while on the mainland.
This has undermined the country’s strategies aimed at combating the novel virus.
The cops’ actions will be seen as a big setback to the war on COVID-19.
Uganda has since maintained a lockdown, night curfew and suspended gatherings to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Police officials said inquiries into the incident have commenced.
