Kabale University Looks To Continue Their Perfect Start To The Pepsi University Football League When They Face Mbarara University Of Science And Technology In Mbarara
New entrants Kabale University are looking to continue their perfect start to the Pepsi University Football League when they face Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Mbarara for match day three of group A.
Kabale University were surprise winners against 2018 champions Kyambogo university on match day one edging them 1-0 at home thanks to Muyambi Davis 88′ header. They were winners again on match day two away to University of Kisubi edging them 2-1 at Entebbe again thanks to a late foal from Nuwagaba Peter in the 90th minute.
Coach Nsubuga Farouk attributes the performance to hardwork and exellent teamwork and believes they will be able to continue their winning run against Mbarara University.
“When you look at my team we do not have any special stars but we have been working very hard and the teamwork has been excellent,” Nsubuga said.
This will be the first meeting between the two sides and Mbarara University coach Kyagambiddwa Muhammad is looking to bounce back after their loss to Kyambogo.
“This is an important game for us. After losing our last game we need to win this one to stay in contention for a place in the knock-out stage of the competition” Kyagambiddwa said.
