KPL: Balinya nets twice as Gor Mahia wins convincingly
Ugandan striker Juma Balinya was on the brace in his second club appearance as Gor Mahia cruised past Nzoia in the Kenyan Premier League on Sunday.
The former Police FC player featured in the starting eleven for the K’ogalos after featuring in their 2-1 win against Sofapaka.
Balinya scored from close range at halftime after tapping in a rebound off Nzoia’s keeper who had saved Samuel Onyango’s goal.
For his second goal, Kenneth Muguna involved in a build up with Onyango who later set Balinya for the Ugandan striker to fire home in an empty net.
Gor Mahia striker Kenneth Muguna scored the hosts’ third goal to stretch their lead atop the summit to 44 points with a four point gap ahead of Kakamega Home Boys in the second place.
Gor Mahia will play against Sofapaka on Sunday in the Kenyan Premier League away from home.
