Filbert Obenchan’s 51st minute header was all that KCCA Fc needed to pick their first victory against Mbarara City Fc.
Obenchan was introduced in the 45th minute in place for Musa Ramathan who had earlier booked a yellow card in the first half.
Another substitute was made at half time in the names of Hassan Musana whose corner kick met Filbert Obenchan who nodded a ball in the net.
Sekisambu would have put KCCA Fc ahead after he seemed to have beaten the Mbarara City defence but the Ankoke Lions goalkeeper Sekeba Muhammad punched the ball wide.
After a half time break, Obenchan and Musana replaced Musa and Kafumbe and the pair had their impact fell six minutes after their introduction when they combined to put KCCA Fc ahead in the 51st minute. Musana made an assist then Obenchan scored.
The Kasasiro boys got an important win at the start of the second round and are now within a few points behind the Venoms who will be in action on Friday against Kyetume fc.
