Katwe United Fc Is Delighted To Announce The Acquisition Of Former Sc Villa Captain And Defender Habib Kavuma
Veteran defender Habib Kavuma has officially joined FUFA Big League side Katwe United on a three year contract.
Katwe United confirmed the signing of the former Uganda Cranes defender in the names Habib Kavuma.
Kavuma brings both experience and leadership to Katwe Fc ahead of the second half of the FUFA Big League season.
He has previously played for Sc Villa, Bunamwaya(now Vipers), KCCA Fc, Lukuli United, APR in Rwanda and Uganda Cranes.
Kavuma has been a free agent after leaving Sc Villa at the end of the 2018-19 season.
Meanwhile Katwe United has scrapped off some players who include Richard Kigozi, Joshua Kaliisa, Mudira Kenneth, Denis Ojara, Ronald Sseku and former Express winger Joel Male.
On the same note, Katwe United second choice goalkeeper, Ali Mwerusi was allowed to join KCCA Fc to advance his professional career.
Katwe United is coached by Allan Kabonge and will be hoping to guide the team to be promoted to the football top division.
Katwe United are bottom placed on the Elgon group table with five points after eight games having managed two draws and one win which came on the opening day against Light SSS at the Startimes Stadium, Lugogo.
In the Uganda Cup, Katwe United will play Proline in the round of 64 of the 2020 Stanbic Uganda Cup.
