Kabale Men Jailed for Stealing from Church

Police in Kabale have in detention three suspects who allegedly broke into a local church and stole property worth Shs 10 million.

The arrested are Joel Ahimbisibwe, 20, from Buhara sub county, Methodius Ngabirano, 25, from Kamuganguzi and Gideon Niwaha, 20, from Buhara.

These were arrested on Wednesday after a tip off following a break in at Buhara Catholic Church in Buhara sub county, in the night of 17/01/2020.

The suspects are said to have stolen church property including 3 speakers, an amplifier mixer, 2 microphone receivers and others.

Police says they were able to zero on the three because they were seen loading the said items on a bodaboda by one of the residents, who later on cooperated and gave the information leading to their arrest.

Inquiries are still ongoing on the case number CRB 021/2020 at Kabale Police station.
