FUBA Summons 14 Payers for Afro-Basketball Qualifiers
Federation of Uganda Basketball Association [FUBA] has summoned 14 players from various clubs to the national team (The Silver backs) in preparation for the up-coming Afro-Basketball qualifiers in Alexandria, Egypt.
The team of locally-based players was on Thursday summoned to start preparations at Gems Cambridge International School in Butabika ahead of the first qualifying window.
FUBA President Nasser Sserujongi in Press statement said the players were expected to report on Friday as they prepare to start the actual training on Monday 27th 2020.
The Players called for the national duty include; City Oilers Ben Komakech, Tony Drileba, Jimmy Abraham Enabu, James Okello, Innocent Ochera (Ndejje University), Joseph Ikong Anyuru(Power), Fayed Bbale(UCU Canons), Geoffrey Soro (Cobra) Stanley Mugerwa(Warriors), Ivan Lumanyika (JKL Dolphins), Titus Lual Odeke(UCU Canons), Syrus Kaviri(power) Paul Odong(Power) and David Deng Kongor(UCU Canons)
Uganda is in the same group with Morocco and Egypt
The Coaching team is being headed by City Oilers Mandy Juruni, Omar Barajad and Warriors Brian Wathum.
