Bernard Muwanga Returns To His Parenthood Club

Defender Bernard Muwanga has returned to his former side Brightstars.

Seven months ago, Muwanga joined Stanbic Uganda Cup reigning champions Proline on loan from KCCA Fc where he struggled for playing time.

Before joining KCCA Fc and Proline, he was captain at Bright Stars Fc and Sports Club Villa.

Infact, Muwanga played for Bright Stars at all levels of competition and was instrumental in the club’s promotion to the topflight in 2013.

Muwanga was Uganda Cranes captain at the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco.

He is expected to add solidity and experience to Brightstars defence as they look to overcome the threat of relegation.

He joins right winger Muwadda Mawejje as another latest recruit at the Paul Kiwanuka coached team. Mawejje joined on loan from Wakiso Giants.

Bright Stars are currently 13th on the Uganda Premier League table with 19 points accumulated in 19 games.

Brights Stars will travel to Wakiso Giants on 1st February 2020.
