Court Orders Arrest of NRM’s Nusura Tiperu

Arua High Court has issued a warrant of arrest for National Resistance Movement’s Nusura Tiperu for failing to pay 83 million shillings as court costs to Arua Municipality MP Hon Kasiano Wadri

The arrest warrant states in part that Nusura Tiperu was “ordered by this honourable court on the 15th day of March 2019 in Election Petition 0002 of 2018 to pay costs of Shs 83,880,400 to the applicant,” which she didn’t obliged to.

The costs result from the election petition which Tiperu had filed in court challenging Kasiano’s victory as the Arua Municipality MP.

She lost the case having failed to convince court that there were irregularities in the Arua by elections

Tiperu was ordered to pay with interest all the money which Wadri spent in pursuing this court case
