CAF CC: KCCA FC Knocked Out Of Competition
KCCA FC bowed out this year’s CAF Confederation Cup after a huge 4-1 defeat to Paradou AC on a cold Sunday night at the Stade 5 Juillet in Algiers.
Hairan, Yousri Bouzok, Abdelkahar Kadri and Aimen Bouguerra scored the goals that knocked the Uganda Premier League champions out of the competition.
The result coupled with a goalless draw at the Startimes Stadium, Lugogo in the first leg ensured that Paradou book their place in the group stage draw on November 10 with a 4-1 aggregate score.
The Mike Mutebi coached side conceded as early as the ninth minute at the El Djezair Stadium as the hosts drew first blood through Hairan before Allan Okello equalized for them in the 23rd minute of the game.
However, in the 37th minute, Paradou were awarded a penalty which Yousri Bouzok stepped up to bury past Charles Lukwago.
Paradou grew their lead with a free kick from Abdelkhadar Khadri past Charles Lukwago in the 65th minute Aimen Bouguerra killed the game off with Paradou’s fourth of the night five minutes later.
KCCA have now failed to make it beyond the play-off round of the competition for a second successive season, last campaign they were eliminated by Congo Brazzaville side AS Otoho 3-2 on aggregate.
