Kampala: Thief Abandons Stolen Cow In Saloon Car
Police patrol on Tuesday night intercepted a suspicious saloon car and found it carrying a cow.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police, the vehicle was flagged down at Banda at around 2am by a team of patrol officers who were on duty along Kampala – Jinja road.
Police said that when the vehicle, a Toyota G – Touring registration number UAL 769W was stopped, its occupant immediately fled the scene upon seeing the police officers and abandoned the vehicle.
“A search was conducted in the vehicle and a suspected stolen cow was recovered inside,” said police.
Adding that, “investigations are still ongoing to identify the owner of the cow and the owner of the vehicle which is also suspected to be stolen.”
Both the exhibits, that’s the cow and car are currently at Jinja Road Police station.
