Defender Nemeyimana Tipped For APR FC Move
Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) youthful centre back Samuel Kato Nemeyimana is closing in on joining Rwanda Premier League side APR FC.
The towering center back is said to have finalized personal talks with APR FC and it’s now up to the two East African clubs to negotiate for the possible transfer.
The 21-year old made his senior debut for KCCA FC during the 2019 CECAFA Club Championship group stages against Tanzania Premier League giants Azam FC.
Nemeyimana was also a pillar in KCCA’s successful story of the Championship having clinched the Championship with a 1-0 win over the same side in the finals in Kigali, Rwanda.
Last season, he had cemented a starting slot in Mike Mutebi’s squad and helped the Kasassiro Boys finish 2nd on the Uganda Premier League table before the season was prematurely ended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
His move to the Kigali based club seems inevitable as the Lugogo outfit has already secured services of a possible replacement in Uganda Cranes defender Dennis Iguma.
In case the deal materializes, Nemeyimana will join Erisa Sekisambu, Jamil Malyamungu, Tom Ikara, Mike Mutyaba, Eric Ssenjobe, Kizza Mustafa, and Jackson Nunda as other players that have already departed the club this summer.
