Ps Atwine Lauds Rwampara Midwife for Having Most Organised Maternity Ward

The Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Dr Diana Atwine has lauded Claire Owembabazi, a midwife at Bugamba health centre IV in Rwampara district for having the most organised maternity ward and labour room in all 13 districts that she has visited on supervision.

“Meet Claire Owembabazi, a midwife at Bugamba health centre IV in Rwampara district. During this period of support supervision in 13 districts, I have observed that she has maintained cleanness and the most organized maternity ward and labor room. These are key principles for patient health care,” Atwine said on her Twitter page.

Atwine was leading a team of Ministry of Health officials on support supervision of health facilities around the country.

The team also visited Itojo hospital where she (Atwine) lauded the hospital team for improved health service delivery.

The teams have so far visited at least 13 districts assessing health service delivery, infrastructural development, human resource capacity among others.

This is intended to monitor, supervise and improve service delivery to the population.
