‘KANYEsigye’ to Stand for USA President 2020?

American artist, producer, record label executive and fashion designer Kanye West might be adding the title of “President” to his list of trades soon. Kanye said he will be running for the biggest office in the United States on his Twitter account on July 4, as the country was celebrating its independence day.

At the MTV video awards in 2015, he mentioned that he indeed wanted to join politics in 2020 but like most of the time he talked about politics, he wasn’t taken seriously. He has also been known to be a great supporter of Trump but recently said that his eyes had been opened to the truth and that Trump didn’t represent the ideologies that Kanye believed in.

Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian West visited Uganda in October 2018 as Kanye was recording new music. The couple also met H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and gifted him with a pair of Kanye’s designer shoes, the Yeezy trainers. He in turn named Kim Kemigisha and Kanye was named Kanyesigye.

Whether “Kanyesigye” was serious about his statement in his tweet or not, only time will tell as America draws near to the election period.
