Cranes Winger Lumala Dismisses Pyramids Exit Rumours

Uganda Cranes pacey winger Abdu Lumala has distanced himself from rumours suggesting a move from Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids Football Club.

Last week, different media reported that Lumala had expressed his desire to return to Europe as football in Egypt does not favor his attributes and style of play.

Lumala who joined Pyramids last year following his impressive performance in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations termed all reports linking him away from the club as “wrong information”.

“Hello I hope everyone is doing good, I am just here to clarify about wrong information about me leaving my club is all wrong I don’t know who is behind this am happy Pyramids FC, am working hard to win titles,” Lumala said.

He also seemed adamant about who is circulating the baseless rumours and noted that he is working tirelessly to prove himself and fight for his place in the squad.

Lumala joined the Egyptian side in December 2019 from Kalmar FF under Franch man Sebastien Desabre but has not been a darling since Ante Cacic’s take over

He has so far made five appearances without pitching in any goal for his efforts.

Before joining Pyramids, the electric winger had a five-year stint in Sweden featuring for Syrianska and Kalmar FF.
