Uganda: Covid-19 Cases Rise to 98 As 1 New Case Is Confirmed
The Ministry of Health has confirmed 1 new COVID-19 case bringing the total number of cases in Uganda to 98.
The new case was confirmed out of 2,168 samples of truck drivers.
According to Dr Henry Mwebesa, Director General Health Services in the Ministry of Health, the confirmed is truck driver who arrived from Kenya via Busia.
“The new case is a 27 year old truck driver who arrived from Kenya via Busia,” announced Dr Mwebesa on Wednesday morning.
All 464 samples from the community tested negative for COVID-19.
A total of 2,632 samples were tested for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
The total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Uganda now stands at 98 with 55 recoveries and no fatalities.
